10 Ways to Use a Random Name Picker in Class

1. Cold-call without the anxiety

Instead of scanning the room, spin the wheel. Students know the choice is fair, and quieter students get pulled in gently. Tell the class upfront: 'The wheel decides — I don't.'

2. Assign classroom jobs

Line leader, paper passer, tech helper, door holder. Rotate weekly using a single spin per role. It takes 30 seconds and eliminates the 'that's not fair' debate.

3. Pick a share-out volunteer
